Blackberry: Bringing the luxury farm experience online
the challenge
Blackberry Farm’s 4,200 acres have been a tranquil escape for family, friends, and guests for over 80 years, evolving into a luxurious resort of breathtaking scenery, decadent cuisine, and pleasurable pastimes. From preserves to jewelry to mattresses, nearly all of the Blackberry experience is packaged and sold online so customers can enjoy a taste of Blackberry Farm from their own homes.
Blackberry needed a stunning and scalable digital experience that could combine customized content, personalized experiences, and XXX agility , allowing them to keep up with shifting consumer expectations. Burdened with overwhelming technical overhead and exorbitant development costs on their open-source platform, Blackberry began to explore their options. They knew they needed to revamp their entire e-commerce infrastructure to achieve their glowing vision.
Was IM Digital up for the challenge?
the solution
In order to develop the world-class experience that Blackberry Farm was envisioning, IM Digital migrated Blackberry to BigCommerce, transferring existing branding while strategically modifying how customers search for products, shop, and subscribe.
IM Digital customized the new site’s theme to incorporate beloved Blackberry elements like Blackberry farm recipes and product pages that integrate with Kraft CMS. IM Digital also upgraded complex life cycles, inserted vital third-party add-ons, and created a new system for customer subscriptions.
the results
IM Digital succeeded in reducing technical overhead, accelerating the time-to-market process, implementing expert UI/UX elements, and improving Blackberry’s front-end and back-end infrastructures.
With their new suite of tools and luxurious, inviting site, Blackberry Farm saw a dramatic increase in ROI and customer loyalty, while enjoying lower TCO (total cost of ownership).
